Specialties
Family Trauma and PTSD
Most people underestimate how much their childhood shapes the way they move through the world. If you grew up in chaos, neglect, or chronic stress, that doesn’t just “go away.” It shows up in your relationships, your parenting, your self-talk, and the way your body reacts to conflict. A high ACE score is not a death sentence, but it is a weight you’ve been carrying for a long time—often silently. My job is to help you understand the machinery underneath those reactions, break the patterns you inherited, and start healing in a way that actually sticks.
Neurodivergence
Atypical brains don’t magically become “typical” because someone told you to try harder. ADHD, autism, giftedness—whatever your flavor—come with real strengths and real friction points in a world that isn’t built for you. Most conventional advice fails neurodivergent people because it assumes you’re operating on the same mental operating system as everyone else. You’re not—and that’s fine. I work with you to build systems that match the way your brain runs, not the way someone thinks it should. The goal isn’t to cram you into a neurotypical mold, it’s to help you function, thrive, and actually like yourself.
Gifted Therapy
If you’re 130+ IQ, you already know you think differently—you’ve been aware of it since you were a kid. The problem is the world treats giftedness like an automatic advantage, when in reality it often comes with chronic frustration, burnout, isolation, and a constant sense that you’re “too much” for most people and “not enough” for yourself. Gifted individuals are overrepresented in anxiety, depression, and existential burnout, and very few therapists know how to work with this population. I do. If you’re tired of dumbing yourself down, being misunderstood, or feeling like your brain is running hot all the time, I can meet you at your level.
Men’s Issues
Being a man today is complicated. The cultural narrative swings between “be stoic and silent” and “be endlessly vulnerable,” and neither extreme works. Masculinity itself isn’t toxic—people are. Healthy masculinity is something you build: responsibility, strength, self-control, purpose, and the ability to show up for the people who matter. Many men have never had a place to talk about what it actually feels like to carry that weight. This is that place. No shame, no moralizing, no lectures—just honest work on what it means to be a good man in your own life.
Parenting
Parenting exposes every crack in your armor. You can be a competent adult with a solid career and still feel completely lost when sleep deprivation, childhood memories, and the pressure to “do it right” collide. If you grew up in instability, becoming a parent can reopen wounds you thought were long gone. You love your kid, but that doesn’t mean you automatically know what secure attachment feels like from the inside. I help parents slow down, understand their own nervous system, and build a home environment that is calm, safe, and consistent—not perfect, just real. Breaking the cycle is possible, and it’s some of the most meaningful work you can do.
Phase-of-Life and Career Counseling
Life doesn’t move in neat stages. Sometimes you’re stuck, sometimes you’re overwhelmed, sometimes you’re staring down a transition you didn’t ask for. Whether you’re dealing with failure to launch, career paralysis, loss, a major move, or simply not knowing what’s next, I help you cut through the noise and figure out what actually makes sense for you. No one-size-fits-all advice, no cheesy motivational slogans—just clarity, direction, and a plan you can actually execute.
